Former Swift Current Aleksi Heponiemi will be making his way back overseas for training camp.

Heponiemi along will eight other players have been loaned to the Florida Panther's AHL affiliate the Springfield Thunderbirds and are expected to attend Springfield's training camp.

The Finish foward is coming off a season where he put up 46 points (16 goals, 30 assists) in 50 games with Kärpät in the Finnish Elite League.
