indians 2014

The Swift Current Indians are now on a five-game losing streak after dropping a 5-2 decision to Okotoks Thursday night at Mitchell Field.

Justin Lee was responsible for both runs for the Tribe, hitting a two-run home run in the fifth inning for his first long ball of the year. Starter Peter Irvin took the loss on the mound, allowing five runs on eight hits in 3-2/3 innings.

The Indians sit a game and a half ahead of Moose Jaw for the Central Division lead as they head into the final week of the regular season. Swift Current will face the Miller Express in a home-and-home on the last two nights of the regular season on Tuesday and Wednesday.

The Indians have tonight off and host Melville Saturday at 7:05pm.
