Canadian Football Hall of Famer and 16-year Saskatchewan Roughrider, Ron Lancaster has died at age 69.

     The former star Quarterback and Coach was diagnosed with lung cancer in early August and had been undergoing radiation and chemotherapy to treat the disease.  He had overcome bladder cancer in 2004.

     He led the Riders to their first Grey Cup in 1966.  He later won Grey Cups as a Coach with Edmonton and Hamilton. 

     The Riders will honour Lancaster before and during tomorrow night's game against the BC Lions.
