Two teams headed in the opposite direction meet up in the first round of the Saskatchewan Midget AAA hockey league playoffs.

The Swift Current Home Hardware Legionnaires closed their regular season on a ten game losing streak, while the Prince Albert Mintos have won eleven in a row.

Legionnaires Coach Jason Johns says it's a brand new season now. He feels teamwork will be key.

“We have to play sound defensively in our zone and we have to do it as a team. The other teams have three lines that are good and we have a good twenty guys when we have twenty guys and that's what we need to do.”

The Mintos host the Legionnaires on tomorrow at 1:30 before the series shifts to the Credit Union iPlex on Sunday at 3:15.

This is the first playoff appearance for the Legionnaires in eight years.
