The Swift Current Midget AAA Home Hardware Legionnaires wrapped up the SMAAAHL pre-season with a 5-2 win over the Notre Dame Hounds Sunday at the Credit Union iplex.
Caleb Griffin had a three-point game with goal and two assists to lead the offence, and Tyde Hutchinson added a goal and a helper. Matthew Kesslering, Connor Odelein and Tristan Hermanson also scored for the Legionnaires.
Goaltenders Chantz Vinck and Caleb Lumbard combined for 17 saves as Swift Current outshot the Hounds 36-19.
The Legionnaires open the regular season Thursday against the Notre Dame Argos in Wilcox, and their home opener will be on October 4th against the Tisdale Trojans.
