Action from Sunday's Broncos Black vs. White Game at the Credit Union iplex in Swift Current

Rookie hopeful Tanner LeSann made quite an impression as Team Black beat Team White 5-0 in the Swift Current Broncos training camp intrasquad game on Sunday.

LeSann had a "Gordie Howe Hat Trick", a goal, an assist and a fight, in the first period on the way to a three-point game which saw him add another helper in the second.

"To be honest, I'm really happy with how I played, like that's exactly what I want to go out and do and it happened, so I'm really happy with how it went," LeSann said. "A Gordie Howe Hat Trick is something to be proud of. I couldn't do it without my teammates, though, and the fight just happened. Thought that I had to spark the team up and get it going a little bit more."

The Yorkton product has enjoyed playing in training camp with his Yorkton Midget AAA teammate Dakota Odgers. "we're good buddies, so it's good that we're in the same organization and sticking together throughout our hockey," LeSann added.

Dillon Heatherington, Liam Bilton, Spencer Copan and Paige Maul scored the other Bronco goals, and Eetu Laurikainen and Travis Child shared the shutout.

The rookie game against the Warriors is set for tomorrow in Moose Jaw.
