Shaunavon native Kole Lind will be taking the next step in his hockey career after signing an amateur tryout contract (ATO).

The contract was inked yesterday with the Vancouver Canucks farm team - the Utica Comets.

The 19-year-old forward recorded 95 points in 58 games this past year for the Kelowna Rockets in the Western Hockey League.

He also potted 8 points in four playoff games before his team was swept by the Tri-City Americans in the first round.

The ATO will be just for the remained of the year as he signed an entry-level contract earlier this year.

The Comets next game is on Thursday morning against the Toronto Marlies.
