Provincial Junior Golf at Chinook

Saskatoon, SK – The 85^th edition of the SGI Canada Saskatchewan Junior Men’s Championship is set for July 5^th to 8^th at the Chinook Golf Course in Swift Current.

This is the first time the Chinook Golf Course will host the SGI Canada Saskatchewan Junior Men’s Championship.  The course previously hosted the 2005 Saskatchewan Senior Men’s & Women’s Championships.

Jordan Arndt of Furdale and the Riverside Country Club is the defending champion after posting a 1 under par score of 283 at the 2010 SGI Canada Saskatchewan Junior Men’s Championship at the Cooke Municipal Golf Course in Prince Albert

Saskatoon, SK – The 61^st edition of the SGI Canada Saskatchewan Junior Women’s Championship is set for July 5^th to 8^th at the Chinook Golf Course in Swift Current.

This is the first time the Chinook Golf Course will host the SGI Canada Saskatchewan Junior Women’s Championship.  The course previously hosted the 2005 Saskatchewan Senior Men’s & Women’s Championships.

The defending champion, Anna Young of Saskatoon, will not be in attendance at the tournament as she prepares for the U.S. Girls Junior Championship.  However, the runner-up at last year’s event, Thea Hedemann of Saskatoon and the Riverside Country Club, will be back to stake a claim at the title after winning the tournament in 2008 and 2009.
