Action between the Raiders and Outlaws

The Swift Current Kabos Bantam Raiders opened their tournament with a dominant 4-1 win over the Saskatoon Outlaws.

Kole Lind scored one of the four goals for the Raiders.

Interview with Kole Lind"We just came out battling," Lind said. "We laid the body, controlled the play most of the game. We had a pretty all-around game."

They outshot the Outlaws 43-8 but were only leading 1-0 after 2.

"You've just got to keep moving your feet," Lind noted. "It'll come after a while. You've got to keep working hard and goals will come."

Raiders Coach Kent Woods wanted to make sure their guys didn't get frustrated and get away from their game.

Interview with Kent Woods"Every time you see that start to happen we just reel it back in as a coaching staff and say you know what guys this is our game plan," Woods said. "This is what has given us the puck possession, allowing us to control the game, if we go away from it they're going to come back to us. Just stay with your game plan and good things will happen."

Caleb Stevenson, Carter Tangen and Tristan Carey also scored for the Raiders. Lind added an assist to his goal.

Swift Current takes on Weyburn tonight at 8:15pm.

There are games all throughout the day at Fairview Arenas.
