Three former Swift Current Broncos and a Stewart Valley product played a part in the Bentley Generals once again hoisting the Allan Cup as Canadian senior hockey champions.

Carter Rigby scored the overtime winner live on national television for a 4-3 victory over the South East Prairie Thunder in Steinbach, Manitoba.

Rigby was joined by fellow Broncos alumni Graeme Craig and Chance Lund on the Bentley roster. Former Regina Pats forward Curtis Austring of Stewart Valley also suited up for the Generals.

Rigby also scored earlier in the championship game on the power play. He started the season at a Minnesota Wild camp before playing at the University of P.E.I. and eventually joining the Generals.

He joined the Broncos in his overage season after spending most of his WHL career with the Kelowna Rockets.

Craig spent parts of four seasons with Swift Current before playing parts of two seasons in the ECHL and AHL in the Edmonton Oilers organization.

Austring was a Regina Pat for most of his WHL career and suited up with the University of Saskatchewan.
