It was another textbook rout for Team Canada at the World Junior Hockey Championships, and another huge game for Brandon Wheat Kings forward Brayden Schenn.

The Saskatoon native scored four goals in Canada's 10-1 win over Norway last night in Buffalo, and joins Simon Gagne and Mario Lemieux for the most goals by a Canadian in a single World Junior game. Schenn leads the tournament in scoring with six goals and 12 points.

Ryan Ellis also set a tournament record for most career points by a defenseman, with a pair of assists.

Swift Current Broncos Captain, Cody Eakin, was a late scratch for Canada. He hurt his hand in Tuesday's game against the Czech Republic and was taken out of the line-up for precautionary reasons. There's no word on if he'll be back for Canada's round-robin finale against Sweden.

You can hear Canada's game against Sweden Friday on the Eagle 94.1 with the pre-game show at 2:30 and face-off at 3:00.

Meanwhile, the World Under-17 Challenge got underway in Winnipeg yesterday with Team Pacific beating Team West 5-2. Swift Current native and former Home Hardware Legionnaire Colton Heffley scored for Team West, and Bronco rookie forward Shea Howorko is also on the Team West squad.
