Titans Beat Weyburn
The Titans had plenty of reasons to celebrate in Sunday's 5-2 win

The Full Line Ag Female Midget 'AA' Titans jumped into second place in league standings following a strong weekend of play.

The Titans played host to the Weyburn Drillers for a pair of games, tying the first one and winning the second.

In Saturday's contest, Chelsea Wilson got Swift Current on the board first with 5:30 remaining in the second period.

Then in the third, Weyburn tied the game 1-1, before Kenedee Klevgaard restored the Titans one goal lead with just 5:27 left to play.

Unfortunately for Swift Current though, Klevgaard's tally would not hold up as Weyburn managed a powerplay goal in the final two minutes as the game finished 2-2.

On Sunday, it was Weyburn finding the net first as they jumped out in-front 1-0 in the early stages of the first.

It appeared that score would hold heading into the intermission, however Courtney Funk was able to put the Titans back on even terms with just 21 seconds left in the opening frame.

Swift Current then took their first lead midway through the second as Katey Hope was able to fire the puck home.

In the third, Klevgaard scored her second goal of the weekend to put the Titans up 3-1, but Weyburn would answer just under two minutes later as a deflected shot found it's way through the legs of goaltender Samantha Lemay.

Swift Current was able to bounce back though, as Funk's second of the game restored the two goal lead, before Chelsea Wilson put it on ice with her second of the weekend, making it 5-2 Titans with under five minutes to play.
