A trio of Swift Current female hockey teams were battling in their respective divisions at the Hockey Regina Female Challenge over the weekend.

The Female Bantam A Colts were victorious in their 10-team division in the provincial capital.

The Bantam Colts were undefeated on the weekend, with wins against the North East Aces (4-1), Comet Crusaders (5-0), and Regina Cougars (5-3) in the round robin. They defeated Melville 3-1 in the semis, and the previously-undefeated Lakeland Jaguars in the final.

The Graphic Edge Female Bantam AA Wildcats earned a silver medal in their eight-team division.

The Bantam AA Wildcats were 2-1 in Pool B with wins over the Lloydminster Jr. Steelers (5-3) and the Westmen Wildcats (2-1), and a loss to the Winnipeg Twins (2-1).

In the semis, the Bantam Wildcats edged the Winnipeg East Saints 2-1, but lost to the Regina Rebels in a high-scoring 7-4 final.

Sadie Keller led the way with seven goals in five games.

The Female Bantam AA Wildcats are off from league play still until November 30 when they host the Warman Wildcats at Fairview East.

The Full Line Ag Female Midget AA Wildcats went 0-3-1 to finish in fifth place in their five-team division in Regina.

They lost to the Regina Rebels (4-0), Southern Express (4-1), and Southeast Sharks (1-0), before rounding out play with a 1-1 draw against the Rocky Mountain Raiders.

The Female Midget AA Wildcats are right back in Regina this weekend, battling the Rebels Friday and Saturday at Co-Operators Centre.
