The Swift Current Broncos remain without last year's regular season MVP.

Matt Tassone remains at home near Edmonton, recovering from off-season double shoulder surgery.

Last year's Captain for the month of October and regular season MVP says the process is going well.  "There has been some ups and downs with my shoulders, but so far, everything has gone great.  I've started working out, and I've been going hard this summer.  In the next couple of months, I'm going to get on the ice and start working on my puck skills again, getting back prepared for the season."

Tassone would love to be ready to play by November, although it could be mid-season before he's cleared to play.

Tassone is one of five 20-year-olds on the roster.  The others include D Eric Doyle, D Ryan Molle, D Derek Claffey, and F Michael Stickland.  The Broncos can only have three 20-year-olds on their roster after October 10th.
