The soccer fields in Swift Current will be busy this weekend as the city prepares to host the Soccer For Life 11-Aside Female Outdoor Youth Provincial Championships.

The event will feature three different age categories competing: U18, U16 and U14.

The Swift Current United Soccer Club will represented in each age category with one team competing in each.

In the five team U14 tournament, Swift Current will begin round robin play at 3:30pm on Friday against the Aurora Concordes.

They will then battle the Lloydminster Drillers at 8:30am Saturday morning, before facing the Weyburn Jr. Red Devils at 6:15pm on Saturday.

The U14 team will conclude their round robin Sunday morning at 8:30am against the PA Celtics.

For the U16 Swift Current United team, they will also play three round robin games.

On Friday, Swift Current will face the Moose Jaw Storm at 5:30pm.

On Saturday they will take on the Aurora Majestic at 9:45am and QC United at 5:00pm.

The U18 team will be a part of a three team provincial tournament.

Their round robin schedule will consists of two games on Friday. First they will meet Yorkton United 3:30pm and then take on Battleford United FC at 8:00pm.

Following the completion of round robin play, second and third place in the U18 tournament will square off at 7:30pm Saturday night.

All three gold medal games will be played on Sunday.

Meanwhile, the U14 boys Swift Current United club is off to Saskatoon this weekend for provincials.

They will play one round robin game on Friday and two more on Saturday.
