What a Midget A Provincial Championship series it was between the Whitecap Resources Broncos and Warman Wildcat Lynx.
Game 1 of the two-game total-point tilt was a 4-3 effort in favour of the Wildcat Lynx in Warman.
"They're a hard-working team, they hit hard," said Midget Broncos forward Aaron Toews. "We just had to work harder than them, and just dig deep."
In the finale of the two-game total-point series, the Midget A Broncos won 5-3 at the Innovation Credit Union iPlex on Sunday.
Toews had a pair of big third-period goals, including what held up as the provincial championship-winner to help Swift Current clinch a banner in an 8-7 come-from-behind series victory.
"Just happy for the team, we worked hard all season - did it for the team," said Toews. "We all came for the same goal - we all wanted to win - and we all worked hard."
Swift Current was held off the board in the second period, with a trio of first period goals off the sticks of Nikhil Pool, Nathan Levac, and Leighton Dyck.
Kyle Roosen earned the win in net for the Midget Broncos, who out-shot Warman a combined 96-46 in the series.
