The Saskatchewan Roughriders will try to get their first win of the season this afternoon, but it won't be easy in Montreal against the defending Grey Cup Champion and unbeaten Alouettes.

Rider defensive lineman Luc Mullinder says they have to have a much better effort than in their first 3 games if they want to have any chance of beating Montreal, and adds losing today would make it a very deep hole for the team to climb out of, saying "right now, we are on the fence, and if we fall off on the left side, we are going to be left by the rest of the league... it's now or never."

The Alouettes beat the Riders 39-25 in their first meeting this season at Mosaic Stadium in week two. That game saw Montreal Quarterback Anthony Calvillo tie Damon Allen's CFL record for career touchdown passes, a record he then broke the following week.

Kick off from Montreal is 5pm this afternoon.

In CFL action yesterday, the Edmonton Eskimos are off to a scorching 4-and-oh start to the season after beating Calgary 24-19, and in Toronto, Buck Pierce rallied Winnipeg with three second-half touchdown passes as the Blue Bombers beat the Argonauts 33-24.
