The blizzard conditions battering southwestern Saskatchewan currently has led to a pile of collisions this afternoon and evening.

A particular scary crash includes an ambulance responding to a collision north of Swift Current on Highway 4.

While attending the scene with its emergency lights on and parked on the side of the road, the ambulance was struck by a semi.

According to a post on the Hutch Ambulance-Assiniboia Facebook page, both medics at the scene were injured and the ambulance was damaged.

Emergency services including the RCMP, Fire Departments, and EMS are urging motorists to stay off the road due to the conditions.
