At Monday's City Council meeting, Council voted against an offer to subdivide 40 acres of land northwest of the City into eight separate parcels.

Director of Engineering, Mac Forster says the reason the City decided against a proposed Country Residential subdivision of the area was due to the fact that they see the area becoming a part of the Urban Residential district of the City.

Forster adds that water availability to the property, and the increase in residential properties in the proximity of City limits also prompted Council to deny the offer.
