The new ambulance in Eastend
The Community of Eastend has a new ambulance. Last week a number of municipal leaders were in attendance to see the transfer of the ambulance to the Eastend EMS staff.
Eastend Mayor Scott Morvik was one of the leaders on hand and said, “It's a great day for the community and surrounding RM's, RM's Piapot, Arlington, Town of Eastend, brand new ambulance it's exciting.”
Morvik added,“We have this pilot project in the community with full time EMTs that's working very well. This ambulance only makes that whole program that much better.”
The events also provided an opportunity to pay tribute to a long time friend of the Eastend EMS Service. A plaque was dedicated in honour of Mr. Charlie Goulet who served for many years with the Eastend EMS Service. That plaque will become a permanent fixture in the new ambulance.
