Shaunavon Town Council has allocated some additional paving funds.

Ron Phillips, Director of Operations for the Town said, "So, the main budget this year was around the $200,000 mark, and then, after budget was passed, Council got talking. They wanted to add another 100 to it, so that's where the additional paving came in."

Phillips added that Council wanted to get ahead of things on paving this summer.

Work is being done  right now on second street west beside The Red Apple, and other additional work will be done along sixth avenue, on Poplar Crescent, on three blocks on the west side of town from fourth to Center Street, and two half-blocks on the east side of town.

Phillips reminds motorists to watch for crews working and respect the markers and signs that are posted.
