SGI has partnered with the families of drunk driving victims to launch a new campaign in the province that will try to show the impact impaired driving has on families.

The campaign features commercials and posters with family pictures, but someone has been deleted from the photo; a victim of impaired driving.

Families were at the Legislature in Regina on Thursday for a very emotion launch of the campaign.

Saskatchewan has the highest rates of impaired driving in the country.
Marlene McGough from Herbert has lost her brother, father and daughter due to impaired driving. She says the experience has left a void in her family.

"I still struggle every day, especially with my daughter," she said. "All my family is desperately effected by this, especially my other daughter, who lost her only sister. I just honestly hate to see people drunk; I cannot be around them.

"We've got a huge void in our family. There's birthdays, there's all these occasions when they're absent, and it's all so unnecessary. All because someone chose to drive when they were drunk."
