It was a day of summer in the middle of a disappointing spring.

Saturday was far and away the warmest day of the season so far, with the temperature reaching a high of 31.9 degrees in Swift Current.  That was just short of the 21-year-old record of 33.3 degrees.

It was just as warm, and in some cases hotter, in other southwest communities.  Shaunavon & Eastend hit 30 degrees; Maple Creek got up to 32.2 degrees; and Lucky Lake was Canada's hot spot at 32.9 degrees.

We may not see another day like that again at least until summer actually starts, as temperatures have fallen back down to around the normal high of 22 degrees.
