Crown petroleum and natural gas rights sales fell year-to-year this month in the province.
They generated $16.4 million province wide, compared to $109 million last year at this time.
The Swift Current area generated $1.4 million, the third most in the province.
"I think a decent number," said Director of Public Affairs for the Saskatchewan Ministry of Energy and Resources Bob Ellis: "The top purchaser of acreage in the Swift Current area was a company named LexTerra Land limited purchasing eight lease parcels for over $720,000."
Ellis says sales are down as companies concentrate more on working what they already own.
