The guns seized
RCMP seized 19 firearms from residences in Swift Current and Simmie.
They executed a search warrent last Saturday after reports of uttering threats and unsafe storage.
"Search warrant was to get firearms in relation to a threats and storage issue," said Shaunavon RCMP Sergeant Lorne Siba. "As a result a total of 19 firearms were seized."
Police also seized thousands of rounds of ammunition and 90 grams of marijuana.
They charged 40-year-old Vincent Hurl from Swift Current with three counts of unsafe storage of firearms, uttering threats and possession of a controlled substance.
Hurl was released with conditions and is scheduled to appear in Swift Current Provincial Court on April 25th.
