With some more snow, and much warmer weather, snowmobliers are anxious to get on the sled.

But with this past week being Snowmoblie Safety Week, the Saskatchewan Snowmoblie Association is reminding everyone to be safe. President Chris Brewer says their major message to get across is not to drink and ride: "The leading cause of accidents and fatalities in the snowmobiling world is alcohol, and often time, speed gets mixed in with it too, and a tragic situation happens."

Brewer also advises riders to reduce their speed when out at night, and with less snow on the ground, he reminds snowmobliers to be careful when going through fields, with rocks, culverts and other objects that might be sticking out from the snow.
