Another temporary disruption of services is in effect in the Cypress Health Region, this time at the Herbert and District Integrated Health Facility.

The Health Region says emergency services and acute admissions in Herbert will not be available until 9:00pm Saturday night.

Those in the Herbert area needing emergency care during those times are asked to call 9-1-1 for an ambulance.

Just last weekend, the Shaunavon Hospital and Care Centre was temproarily disrupted for three overnight shifts.

 

Meanwhile, The nursing shortage in Saskatchewan could get a whole lot bigger over the next few years. The Saskatchewan Union of Nurses says as many as two-thousand nurses will become eligiable for retirement over the next couple of years. That could make an even bigger hole for the province as they look to recruit nurses to fill the void already in place
