The Swift Current Broncos will play their first playoff game at Innovationplex since March 30 when they host the Moose Jaw Warriors for game three of the best-of-seven WHL Eastern Conference Semifinal tonight.

The Broncos won the opening game 7-2 on Friday before the Warriors rebounded with a 7-2 victory on Saturday.

Tonight’s game starts at 7:00 p.m. and you can hear it on Country 94.1 FM with Redhead Equipment Case IH Broncos Hockey starting at 6:45. 

Last night, Carter Sotheran scored two goals including the overtime winner as the Portland Winterhawks beat Everett 4-3 to take a commanding 3-0 lead on the Silvertips. Game four is on Friday.

Tonight's other WHL playoff action has the Red Deer Rebels hosting Saskatoon with the Blades up 2-0, and Kelowna welcomes Prince George with the Cougars holding a 2-0 lead in that series with back-to-back shutouts on home ice.

In the SJHL, the Melfort Mustangs host the Humboldt Broncos tonight in game seven of the semifinal with the winner facing the Flin Flon Bombers in the Canterra Seeds Cup final.

McDavid picks up 100th helper as Oilers rout Sharks

Connor McDavid recorded his 100th assist of the season and also tallied his 32nd goal of the year as the Edmonton Oilers blasted the San Jose Sharks 9-2 at Rogers Place. McDavid is only the fourth player in NHL history to record 100 assists in a season, joining the likes of Wayne Gretzky, Bobby Orr and Mario Lemieux.

Meanwhile, Lucas Raymond forced overtime with 1:17 left and then got the winner in the extra frame as the Detroit Red Wings beat the Montreal Canadiens 5-4 to stay alive in the Eastern Conference wild card race. Detroit can punch their ticket if they beat the Habs on the road in their final regular season game tonight, and Washington loses to Philadelphia. 

Also, the New York Rangers clinched the NHL's number-one overall seed with a 4-0 win over Ottawa. It’s the fourth time the Rangers have won the Presidents’ Trophy.

Tonight, Auston Matthews has a chance to reach the 70-goal mark as the Toronto Maple Leafs visit the Florida Panthers, while the Vancouver Canucks host the Calgary Flames and the Winnipeg Jets entertain the Seattle Kraken.

Bassitt, Jays quiet Yankees' bats

Chris Bassitt held the red-hot Yankees to one earned run and four hits over 6.1 innings as the Toronto Blue Jays knocked off the AL East leaders 3-1 Monday night at Rogers Centre.

Alejandro Kirk had two hits including an RBI double in the third for the Jays, who send Yusei Kikuchi to the mound tonight.
