Construction of an expansion of Great Plains College's Swift Current Campus is just about to wrap up.

The new welding and electrical shops are already open for students, and work is continuing on the new front entrance, three new classrooms and the first indoor fall protection tower in Saskatchewan.

Claire Melhoff, Administration Director for Great Plains College, is hopeful that it will all be finished later this month.

Melhoff adds once the expansion work is done, they'll move inside the college building for renovations, including the upgrading of several classroms and the renovation of their student auxillary area, which includes a cafeteria, study space and student lounge.
