Phones, televisions, radios and more will be buzzing with a SaskAlert this morning around 11:55 a.m.

The province is letting residents know that this is just a standard test of the emergency system, as part of the emergency management process to help to ensure that in times of an emergency or disaster, urgent and public safety warnings can be distributed to the public.

The SaskAlert test lines up with Saskatchewan's Emergency Preparedness Week, running from May 5 through 11, encouraging everyone to understand the possible dangers where they live and work, and to learn what actions to take to protect themselves and their loved ones.
