The Edmonton Oilers are getting even more Swift Current Broncos content.
After hiring former Broncos Coach/GM Todd McLellan as their bench boss and signing former Broncos goaltender Eetu Laurikainen, the Oilers have hired former Broncos defenceman Ian Herbers as an assistant coach.
Herbers joins the Oilers after an extensive coaching career that includes two CIS hockey championships in a recent run with the Alberta Golden Bears.
He was previously a head coach in both the ECHL and AHL.
Herbers played for the Broncos from 1986-1988.
