Last Friday, the Dr. Noble Irwin Regional Healthcare Foundation recently held its annual NHL Playoff Hockey Draft in partnership with the 57's.

The event was hosted by the Living Sky Casino Events Centre in Swift Current, drawing in around 200 southwest community members.

Crystal Imrie, communications and development coordinator at the Dr. Noble Irwin Regional Healthcare Foundation, was excited to see so much support for the organizations and the smiles on attendees' faces.

"It went really well, we had 23 teams of eight competing to draft their best playoff team for the NHL," said Imrie.

The grand prize for the NHL draft was $6,000 and there were both live and silent auctions, along with a prime rib roast beef supper.

"Next to radiothon, this is our biggest fundraiser of the year," she said. " As always, money is going towards much-needed medical equipment in the southwest.

"This event is always very well supported so we're really thankful to our sponsors and all the participants."
