In the December 17 COVID-19 update from The Saskatchewan Health Authority there has been seven more deaths reported, bringing that provincial total to 105.

Seven residents who tested positive   for COVID-19 have died. One new death in the 40-49 was reported in the South East zone, 1 new death in the age group 60-69 was reported in the North Central zone, and 5 new deaths were reported in the 80+ age group - 1 from the Saskatoon zone, 3 from the Regina zone, and 1 from the South West zone.

There has been 238 new cases of COVID-19 reported in the province today.

Of those 238 cases 5 are from the Far North West zone, 1 from the Far North Central zone, 15 from the Far North East zone, 26 from the North West zone, 32 from the North Central zone, 9 from the North East zone, 81 from the Saskatoon zone, 7 from the Central East zone, and 40 from the Regina zone.

There are 3 new cases reported in the South West zone, 7 in the South Central zone, and 3 in the South East zone.

There are 9 new cases that have pending residence information.

Five previously reported cases with pending residence information have been assigned as follows: 1 to the Far North Central zone, 1 to the Far North East zone, and 3 to the North Central zone.

The seven-day average of daily new cases is 230 (19 new cases per 100,000 population.)

That brings the total number of new cases in the province to 12,832, of which 3,978 are considered active.

There are currently 41 active cases in the South West zone.

There have been 466 recoveries reported, bringing that provincial total to 8,749.

There are 126 people in hospital. One hundred and four people are receiving inpatient care -3 in the Far North West zone, 9 in the North West zone, 16 in the North Central zone, 44 in the Saskatoon zone, 1 in the Central West zone, 2 in the Central East zone, and 23 in the Regina zone.

There are currently 5 people receiving inpatient care in the South East zone, and 1 in the South Central zone.

There are 22 people in intensive care - 5 in the North Central zone, 9 in the Saskatoon zone, and 8 in the Regina zone.

To date, there have been 396,555 COVID-19 tests processed in Saskatchewan.

And yesterday, there was 2,875 C OVID-19 tests processed.

The Weekly Monitoring Report for Children and  Youth aged  0-19 years was released today from the SHA.

For the week of December 7-13 there was a total of 920 active cases in children and youth. Of those 920 cases there were 12 with pending residence location.

There are currently 41 active cases in the Far North West zone, 11 in the Far North Central zone, and 58 in the Far North East zone.

There are 102 active cases in the North West zone,148 in the North Central zone, and 37 in the North East zone.

There are 17 active cases in the Central West zone, and 27 in the Central East zone.

There are 236 active cases in the Saskatoon zone, and 165 in the Regina zone.

There are 21 active cases in the South West zone, 12 in the South Central zone, and 41 in the South East zone.
