In the November 29 COVID-19 update from The Saskatchewan Health Authority they are reporting a total of 49 new confirmed cases of the virus in the province.

Of those 49 new cases there is 1 in the Far North East zone, 5 in the North West zone, 5 in the North Central zone, 1 in the North East zone, 8 in the Saskatoon zone, 6 in the Central East zone, 13 in the Regina zone, 2 in the South Central zone, and 6 in the South East zone.

There is 1 new confirmed case in the South West zone - in the South West subzone 1.

There is 1 new case with pending residence information.

Over one-quarter (26.5%) of new cases are in the 11 years and under age category.

About one in twelve (8.3%) of new cases eligible for vaccination (aged 12 years and older) were fully vaccinated.

The seven-day average of new COVID-19 case numbers is 77 (6.4 new cases per 100,000 population).

That brings the provincial total number of cases to 80,950, of which 858 are considered active.

There are 22 active cases in t he South West zone - 7 in South West subzone 1, and 15 in South West subzone 2.

There is 1 new death reported-it is in the South West zone- and brings the provincial total number of deaths to 926.

There are 88 recoveries reported, 1 of those in the South West zone, bringing the provincial total number of recoveries to 79,166.

There are 130 people in the hospital - 91 receiving inpatient care, and 39 in intensive care.

Of those 130 patients, 89 (68.5%) were not fully vaccinated.

There are 5 Saskatchewan residents receiving out of the province care in hospital.

To date, 1,276,376 COVID-19 tests have been processed in Saskatchewan.

And yesterday there were 1,037 COVID-19 tests processed in the province.

Of the 15,893 variants of concern cases identified by whole genome sequencing in the province, 7,123 are Alpha (B.1.1.7), 10 are Beta (B.1.351), 484 are Gamma (P.1), and 8,276 are Delta (B.1.617.2)

There were 4,665 COVID-19 vaccines given yesterday, 219 of those in the South West zone.

That brings the provincial total number of vaccines administered to 1,736,584.

There are now 835,181 Saskatchewan residents that are fully vaccinated.
