Seven of the eight top seeds moved on in the A-event at the SaskTel Tankard Provincial Men's Curling Championships in Assiniboia.
Steve Laycock, Carl DeConnick Smith, Scott Bitz, Bruce Korte, Braeden Moskowy, Randy Bryden, Jamie Schneider all won their opening games, while Kevin Marsh pulled off an upset 9-7 victory over Darrell McKee.
Action continues today with three draws at 8:30am, 3:00pm and 7:00pm.
