Junior lacrosse returned to S3 Arenas with the Swift Current Wolverines hosting the Moose Jaw Mustangs and Southern Alberta Chaos as part of a Saturday tripleheader at S3 Arenas.

Paul Piche had two goals, including the game winner with 1:36 left in the third period, as the Wolverines beat the Mustangs 10-8 in the opening game. Ryder Smith and Adam Zanidean added a pair of goals, and Daylan Elviss, Shane Cornelson, Jax Bymoen and Zealand Rayner also scored.

In the nightcap, Turko led the way with four goals, Zanidean had two goals and a helper and Grady Henderson had a goal and three assists as the Wolverines fell 12-9 to the Chaos. Rayner and Riley Schafer had the other goals for Swift Current.

Other action on Saturday had the Chaos edging the Mustangs 9-8 in overtime with Connor Materi completing a hat trick with the game-winner 1:57 into the five-minute extra frame.

The Wolverines open the regular season against the Regina Barracudas on April 20 at 7:00 p.m. from S3 Arenas. The Rampage minor lacrosse program will also be holding a "Rampage Rally" before the game from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. with activities for U7 to U17 players.
