Health Minister Don McMorris

 

Saskatchewan Health Minister Don McMorris has announced over $133 million for health infrastructure and access improvements today.

The announcement includes: $49.3 million for design and construction costs of 13 long-term care facility re-development projects including Maple Creek, Rosetown, Biggar and Kerrobert, $24 million for new capital equipment and upgrades, and $18.7 million for infrastructure improvements and upgrades.

In addition, over $20 million is being allocated to doctor related funding including physician recruitment and retention and to support an increased number of physician services.

Today's announcement is in addition to funding announced on February 14 to reduce surgical wait times.
