The Swift Current Broncos celebrate their win in Everett Saturday night

 

Taylor Vause led the Swift Current Broncos to a big 3-1 win over the Everett Silvertips for the Broncos first win on their five-game US swing.

Vause had a pair of goals, including a tie-breaking marker in the first which would prove to be the game winner. He now leads in team scoring with 15 goals and 33 points.
 
Graham Black had the other goal for the Broncos to open the scoring which was followed by a goal from Silvertips forward Ryan Harrison. Broncos goalie Jon Groenhyde made 32 saves for the victory, while Kent Simpson made 20 saves for Everett.
 
The win moves the Broncos to an 11-13-2-1 record heading into their fourth game of the US swing tonight in Portland against the Winterhawks, who sit second in the US Division with a 16-9-1-1 record. You can hear tonight's game on the Eagle 94.1 starting with the pre-game show at 6:30pm and play-by-play at 7:00pm.
