Those already looking towards the summer will be able to begin reserving campsites in Saskatchewan Provincial Parks as of March 2.

As in previous years, the launch will be staggered with different parks becoming available on different days.

"Last year, we launched three dates, as opposed to 10 this year, and that did tax the system," said Parks, Culture and Sport Minister Mark Docherty. "That lesson was learned, and this year we decided that a staggered ten-day launch would be the best way to make sure the people can access the site without it crashing."

Reservations at Cypress Hills Interprovincial Park will open on March 7th, and bookings at Saskatchewan Landing will start the following day.

A queing system will also be implemented this year that will enable SaskParks to manage how many people are accessing the reservation system at once.

Reservations begin at 7am on March 2nd and can be accessed at www.saskparks.net/camping
