Yesterday a roster move was announced regarding the Saskatchewan public service's senior leadership team.

The new deputy minister of advanced education is Mark McLoughlin. McLoughlin most recently held the title of executive director, development and advancement at Olds College in Alberta. But he's also spent time in the Canadian Football League as a placekicker with the Calgary Stampeders and BC Lions.

Interim Deputy Minister to the Premier and Cabinet Secretary Kent Campbell announced that the three-time Grey Cup champion will immediately take over the reigns from Interim Deputy Minister of Advanced Education David Boehm.

"I would like to welcome Mark to the Government of Saskatchewan’s senior leadership table," said Campbell.

Campbell also thanked David Boehm for his service as interim deputy minister.
