One of the potholes to be fixed.

The city of Swift Current is preparing their workers to make sure roads are up to par this spring.

City General Manager of Infrastructure Mitch Minken says workers have two items to patch.

"We've got two things going on. We got our normal spring potholes, which actually this year we were well head of and I was pretty happy with where we're at. Right now we do have Sasktel's fiber to the premise project going on." said Minken.

The process for Sasktel's fiber cable installations for InfiNet have made additional holes to go with the city's usual potholes.

"Unfortunately these are the ones causing us the most grief right now. So we do have our paving contractor up and running now. So we're anticipating immediately getting out and getting these site holes patched over." Minken said.

The immediacy of the steet maintenance is important to make sure residents are safe while traveling throughout the city.
