The City of Swift Current is being sued by a mother and her son after the City terminated a contract with them in 2004.

In 1996, Matt and Dixie Green had entered into a 20-year contract with the City to use sewage from the settling ponds in Swift Current to irrigate some of their land.  The Greens were sent a letter in 2004 from the City giving them reasons why the contract was being terminated.

The City is being sued for damages and the matter was brought before the courts in January.  The judge is expected to make a ruling in the next few months.
