The residence searched was situated on the 1400 block of South Railway Street East and during the search officers found "several hundred pounds of copper wire."

A release from the City RCMP said 33-year-old Jareme Gardner and 27-year-old Carly Selk were the duo arrested and they were both charged with one count of possession of property obtained by crime less than $5,000.

Gardner was held in custody and was expected to appear in Swift Current Provincial Court yesterday.

While Selk was released and will be appearing in Swift Current Provincial Court on April 24, 2019.
