The air is expected to be much clearer today than it had been this weekend.

Smoke from BC wildfires billowed into Saskatchewan on Friday, prompting provincial air quality advisories. Health officials were asking those with lung conditions to stay inside until the smoke cleared away.

Environment Canada is reporting that air quality in Saskatchewan improved greatly throughout the weekend, and shifting winds are no longer blowing the smoke from BC our way.

Meanwhile, cooler temperatures and some rain has helped about 2,800 firefighters battle the 232 wildfires burning in BC's interior, with 36% of that province still at a high or extreme risk of fire.
