In today's update from the Saskatchewan Health Authority, they are reporting a total of 945 new confirmed cases of COVID-19, bringing the total to 96,125 reported cases. 

Of the new cases, 5 were located in the Far North West zone, 2 in the Far North Central zone, 2 in the Far North East zone, 30 in the North West zone, 32 in the North Central zone, 30 in the North East zone, 294 in the Saskatoon zone, 10 in the Central West zone, 66 in the Central East zone, 283 in the Regina zone, 17 in the South Central zone, and 51 in the South East zone. 

There were 28 new cases located in the South West zone, 1 in South West subzone 1 and 27 in South West subzone 2. 

There are 95 new cases with pending residence information. 

Eight (8) new cases were assigned; 3 to the North Central zone, 4 to the North West zone, 1 to the South Central zone. 

Six (6) Saskatchewan residents tested out-of-province were added to the case counts; 3 to the Saskatoon zone, and 3 to the Regina zone. 

There are 9,252 cases are considered active and 85,912 cases are considered recovered. 

Just over two-fifths (41.9%) of new cases are in the age category of 20 to 39. 

As of January today, a total of 123 individuals are hospitalized, including 112 inpatient hospitalizations and 11 ICU hospitalizations. Of the 123 patients, 52 (42.3%) were not fully vaccinated. 

The SHA dashboard reports that of the 112 residents that are inpatient. Of those, 55 inpatient hospitalizations are a COVID-19-related illness, 46 are incidental, asymptomatic infections and 11 have not yet been determined, 11 residents are in ICUs: of those, 6 are for COVID-19-related illnesses, and 5 are for incidental, asymptomatic infections. 

No (0) new death reported today. 961 Saskatchewan residents with COVID-19 have died, with a case fatality rate of 1.0. 

To date, 1,370,429 COVID-19 tests have been performed in the province.  

There were 2 730 COVID-19 vaccines administered, 105 of those in the South West zone. 

That brings the provincial total number of vaccinations given to 1 823 798. 

There are now 872 733 Saskatchewan residents who are fully vaccinated. 

The 7-day average of new COVID-19 case numbers was 1,060 (88.0 new cases per 100,000). 

Since January 1, the New Cases by Vaccination Status table has shown a significant number of new cases as unvaccinated. This data is not accurate. This table is no longer featured on the dashboard until a review of the information is complete and the data rectified.
