The sixth annual Cypress Hills Wish Ride happened on Saturday.

Around 60 people rode horses to raise money for the Children’s Wish.

Each rider had to raise a minimum of $100 to ride this year.

Scott Reeser along with his wife manage the Reeser Ranch. They have hosted the wish ride for the last six years.

Reeser talked about why they like to host this event.

"Well we enjoy the people that come out to this, these are people that come out and enjoy horses and having fun together, and in being with horses part of that experience and it's for a good cause to raise money for people who are less fortunate, to help them fulfil a wish."

The day featured two different rides, one that took over an hour and another one that was around 4 hours.

The wish ride also features a BBQ supper from Skinny's Restaurant in Medicine Hat, live music by the Glen Morin Band, a silent auction, and a Canada 150 celebration.

Reeser added that is was a nice time with good people to hang out with.
