There were nearly as many recoveries as there were confirmed new cases of COVID-19 in the Saskatchewan Health Authority’s Tuesday afternoon update.

Eight new confirmed cases push the total up to 184 in the province.

On the flip side, seven more recoveries bring that total to 21 so far.

Four individuals are currently in the hospital – one case is in intensive care, while the other three are receiving inpatient care.

Nine cases are also now a result of local transmission – the rest remain travel-related or attributed to mass gatherings.

Six cases are in the south region, not including Regina, which has 39 cases. Elsewhere, three are in the far north, 37 are in the north, nine in the central, while 90 cases are in Saskatoon.

No new deaths have been reported – that total still stands at two after Monday’s update.

A total of 475 new tests were performed by the Roy Romanow Provincial Lab in Regina. They’ve now done 10,216 overall.

More updates will be provided as they arise.
