It’s been 161 days since Byron Watson disappeared from Maple Creek, Sask., and 161 days of his family ‘living in a nightmare.’

With Red Dress Day approaching tomorrow, the Watson’s felt it fitting to hold a walk as a reminder that the search continues for their missing family member.

Community members will meet at 207 Lonsdale Street in Maple Creek at 12 p.m. today wearing red, then traversing around the town to end at the same location.

Byron’s aunts Lori Watson and Francis DeLorme and his grandmother Joyce Watson arranged the event and will be hosting a barbecue after the walk for anyone who attends.

"We are just doing it to honor Byron, so people know that we didn't forget about him," said Delorme.

Anyone with any information regarding the 23-year-old's whereabouts is asked to contact Maple Creek RCMP or Crime Stoppers to remain anonymous.
