A program designed to help families and couples through the motions of separations and divorce is now being offered across the province.

The program itself offers families access to early and affordable opportunities to resolve their issues, including counseling and self help kits walking through court proceedings.

Assistant Director of the Family Justice Services Branch Robbi Behr spoke to SwiftCurrentOnline.

"Our goal really is to decrease the conflict. We want to decrease parties time, and the cost to address issues, and we want to make it better for children and families. Hopefully at the end of either the information we send to him, or a three hour session, that they've started to build a more cooperative parenting relationship."

Previously, the program was held in Saskatoon, Prince Albert, Regina and Moose Jaw.
