Another casualty of the floods that hit in southwest Saskatchewan in June is the drinking water.

 

It seems 72% of wells in rural areas around Maple Creek have tested positive for contaminants.

 

The Saskatchewan Watershed Authority says test results show 58 of 70 wells have elevated levels of nitrates, E.coli, and other bacteria.

 

The wells were tested for free between July 5 and 16 as the result of June flooding.
